DIGSI 4, DIGSI 5 are engineering tools for parameterizing, commissioning, and operating all SIPROTEC 4 & 5 devices, and by IEC 61850 you can make a connection to the devices.
We’ve gathered these three courses to be more accessible for you.
ETAP is an analysis platform for designing, simulating, operating, and automating generation, distribution, and industrial power systems. In this course, you will get acquainted with the Etap software visually and practically. We hope you enjoy learning about this course.
IEC-61850 is a protocol for the substation automation system. This protocol has capabilities that partially overcome the limitations of the automation system. This course is 4 hrs of main training.
Course Items:
Substation Automation – an overview
An introduction to IEC 61850 & how to learn it effectively
Overview of the main features of IEC 61850 – Part I
Overview of the main features of IEC 61850 – Part II
IEC 61850 data structure and data format – Part I
IEC 61850 data structure and data format – Part II
IEC 61850 station in DIGSI 5 and IEC 61850 System Configurator
GOOSE configuration and the publisher/subscriber LNs
GOOSE simulation via IEDScout
GOOSE configuration and simulation between SIP 5 & SEL relays
Time synchronization settings and SNTP configuration
DIGSI 5 is used for configuring and operating all SIPROTEC 5 devices. In the IEC 61850 stations, any small modification in the IED config needs to be updated and changed the whole station. So, the configuration of these devices is very important especially when the communication is IEC 61850.
We provide a pre-recorded video training package for DIGSI 5 and SIPRTEC 5 IEDs with a practical point of view. In this package, we have discussed basic topics and the configuration procedures of the distance and barbara protection relays.
